Northridge, California:  The Plaza del Sol Performance Hall is pleased to announce the second annual visit of Chicago’s famed Second City Comedy Troupe—this year, for your seasonal pleasure, with their “Dysfunctional Holiday Revue.”  Get your tickets early, because this Thursday, November 29, 2007 event --at a special time of 7:30 p.m. --was an early sell-out in 2006!

The “Dysfunctional Holliday Revue” is a raucous blend of sketches, songs, and improvisation—with a healthy dose of seasonal satire.  The show is a fast-paced, interactive comedy revue filled with style and wit.  Holiday film classics, family gatherings, improvised Christmas carols, even Joseph and Mary—nothing is too sacred for the Second City ensemble. It’s crazy, surreal, wacky comedy on the spot, pulled out of thin air.

Typically sardonic — and at times painfully topical — Second City demonstrates its mastery at intertwining dark themes and dysfunctional holiday situations with hysterical results.  This is Improv at its best.

The Second City Comedy Troup has launched the careers of Mike Myers, Bill Murray, Steve Carell, Tina Fey, Jim Belushi, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jeremy Piven, Martin Short, Stephen Colbert, Halle Berry, Sean Hays, Eugene Levy, Dan Aykroyd, John Candy, Shelly Long, Fred Willard, Dan Castellaneta (the voice of Homer Simpson)— and countless others, and continues to lead the way in comedy improvisation.
